Private or Small Group Yoga/Meditation sessions

Roots2Mindfulness offers Private Yoga Sessions, Guided Meditation, and Raindrop Technique Massage. Roots2Mindfulness will travel to your home to provide the session, bringing all materials and resources. Sessions are generally 60 minutes in length.

Corporate Programs

Roots2Mindfulness provides yoga and mindfulness sessions for groups up to 30.  The organization is responsible for providing the space to practice. Roots2Mindfulness will bring all equipment and materials for participants to use. Sessions range in length, including 60 minute, half-day, and full-day options.

Programs for Kids

Roots2Mindfulness has a variety of yoga and mindfulness programs available to choose from for children of all ages. The family provides the physical space to practice and Roots2Mindfulness brings all the equipment and materials. A great opportunity to support mental health and wellness and help your child learn and practice self-regulation skills outside of the classroom.

Essential oils 101 classes

Essential Oils 101 Classes are a great way to learn about chemical-free living and promote wellness by supporting the body systems. The 101 Class is available in multiple formats (in-person, Facebook Lives, Audio CD), and can be accessed as a one-on-one meeting, small group gathering, or as a larger gatherings. The purpose of the class is to educate.

Private & Small Group Sessions

Private sessions are a great option if you are interested in learning more about yoga, meditation, or aromatherapy massage or if you have specific health concerns that you want to address.  Sessions are provided in the comfort of your own home at a time that works for you.

Private Yoga Sessions

Private yoga sessions occur in your home. Roots2Mindfulness brings all yoga equipment for the practice and sets up the space prior to the session start time.  Sessions are generally 60 minutes in duration. Roots2Mindfulness will tailor a program to target your specific needs. Semi-private and small group options are also available.

Option to customize services to enhance session benefits, including aromatherapy, gentle relaxation music, and manipulation/massage (scalp massage, hand/foot massage).    

A private session is recommended for people:

  • With injuries and illnesses

  • New to yoga and wanting to learn the basics of the practice

  • Feeling shy or uncomfortable about attending group classes

  • Wanting to deepen their mindfulness practice and increase body awareness

  • Wanting to learn how to start a consistent at-home practice

Private Guided Meditation sessions

Guided meditations take place in the comfort of your own home.  Roots2Mindfulness brings all necessary equipment and tools for the 60 minute guided meditation session.    

Experience the power of meditation in transforming your life and improving your overall health and wellness. Types of guided meditations offered include body scans, progressive relaxation meditation, sitting meditation, breath-awareness meditation, visualization meditation, and loving-kindness meditation. 

Option to customize services to enhance session benefits, including aromatherapy, gentle relaxation music, and manipulation/massage (scalp massage, hand/foot massage).    

 

Private Raindrop Technique Massage

Raindrop Technique Massage is performed in the comfort of your home.  Roots2Mindfulness brings the massage table, sheets, towels, and essential oils for the experience. 

Raindrop Technique Massage combines the benefits of three elements: Aromatherapy, Vita Flex Technique, and Feather Stroking to aid in relaxation and rejuvenation of body and mind. Young Living essential oils are applied to the bottom of the feet and along the spine to promote relaxation. Each single oil and oil blend, applied in a particular order, serves a specific purpose. Massage benefits can last up to 1 week.

Corporate Programs

Corporations and businesses in Yukon are able to choose Roots2Mindfulness for wellness training and practice purposes. Choose from a range of yoga and meditation services that best serves your group. Click on the Request a Quote/Book a Session button to inquire about rates for your specific group.  

Organizations are responsible for providing a space adequate for the number of participants.  The information sessions require a room with a projector and space to practice.  Roots2Mindfulness uses high-quality Halfmoon yoga and meditation equipment and will bring all equipment and materials necessary for the practice.  If aromatherapy is desired, Roots2Mindfulness brings Young Living products.

Stress in the workplace is linked to higher rates of mental health illness, burnout, absenteeism, decreased physical and emotional well-being, and contributes to a negative workplace environment. Corporate yoga and meditation sessions can improve overall health and wellness of employees, leading to more productive employees. Workshops range in duration with the option to choose from half-day, full-day, or ongoing one-hour weekly (or monthly) workshops. Regardless of format chosen, each workshop will begin with information and conclude with meditation practice.  

Mindfulness Information workshop & Practice Session

The purpose of the mindfulness information workshop and practice session is to help introduce your staff to the benefits of mindfulness meditation and promote wellness within the workplace. Participants will be provided with information on defining mindfulness, effects of stress, simple steps of meditation, types of meditation, and how to set up a meditation routine. Throughout the session, specific mindfulness strategies will be practiced with a longer meditation at the end of the session. 

Option to customize services to enhance session benefits, including aromatherapy, gentle relaxation music, and manipulation/massage (scalp massage, hand/foot massage).

Group Meditation

Roots2Mindfulness offers guided meditation experiences for groups up to 30.  Sessions are typically 60 minutes in duration, which includes set-up, facilitation, and clean-up. This session is strictly a meditation experience; for background information and an introduction to meditation, it is recommended to choose the Mindfulness Information Workshop and Practice Session as the initial session.   

Types of guided meditations offered include body scans, progressive relaxation meditation, sitting meditation, breath-awareness meditation, visualization meditation, and loving-kindness meditation. 

Option to customize services to enhance session benefits, including aromatherapy, gentle relaxation music, and manipulation/massage (scalp massage, hand/foot massage).

Group Yoga

Roots2Mindfulness offers two different styles of Yoga for groups up to 30. 

Vinyasa is a flow-style of yoga, which is all about connecting the breath to the movement.  Participants can expect to sweat during this style of yoga and feel more energized. 

Yin yoga is a slower-paced style of yoga, in which poses are held for longer duration to help target deeper connective tissue (fascia, ligaments, tendons, and bones). 

Props can be used to make yoga poses more accessible and restorative in nature.  Regardless of style of yoga chosen, participants will benefit from their yoga practice. Sessions are typically 60 minutes in duration.  

 

Programs for Kids

Roots2Mindfulness has a variety of yoga and mindfulness programs available to choose from to support the mental health and well-being of your child outside of the school. The family provides the physical space to practice and Roots2Mindfulness brings all the equipment and materials. Learn more about the available mindfulness and yoga programs.

Mindfulness Programs

Mindfulness Programs are flexible in nature and can be presented as one-on-one sessions or with a group of interested individuals. A great opportunity to learn self-regulation strategies, increase attention and focus, reconnect with nature, and reduce reliance on technology and video games.

Yoga for Kids

Roots2Mindfulness offers specialized yoga programs for students in grades K-12 outside of school hours. Help support your child’s mental, physical, and spiritual well-being by introducing them to yoga in a fun and safe way. Feel free to join in on the sessions!  

Supporting your Child’s Education in Alternative Settings:

  • Daily physical activity and concepts of physical literacy are important contributors to health.

  • Important to learn different types of physical activities and their effects on the body.

  • Body awareness helps promote healthy lifestyle choices & ensures needs are met.

Sensory Awareness

This program focuses on reconnecting to the senses. Living in our fast-paced society makes it challenging to stay present and fully utilize all our senses. We learn about our world through our senses of sight, smell, hearing, touch, and taste.  Unfortunately, many of us are preoccupied with what is going on in the brain to stop and fully witness what is happening around us by using our senses. 

If you've ever heard the saying, "Stop and smell the roses," you know that taking a moment to reflect on what you see, hear, smell, touch, and taste is extremely beneficial for our overall health and wellness. Without taking the time to be present, we risk missing out on half of our lives. Mindfulness helps to strengthen our connection with our senses and enrich our lives.

Roots2Mindfulness utilizes a variety of age-appropriate activities to encourage the strengthening of the senses. Programming is available both for inside and outside exploration, weather depending.

 

Body Awareness

This program focuses on attending to body sensations through the use of body scans, progressive relaxation techniques, breathing exercises, and sitting meditations. Children will be guided through various exercises to increase the mind-body connection and deepen their understanding of what their body is telling them. Age-appropriate tools and exercises will be utilized.

Reconnecting to the Breath

This program focuses on placing attention on the breath.  Children learn about and practice a variety of breathing exercises, utilizing a hands-on approach with mindfulness tools. Learning how to breathe properly can help children be better equipped in dealing with challenging situations. The breath is one of the most important mindfulness tools that a child can develop because it is always with them - no need for external tools to become present and calm. Tools are used to aid in strengthening the connection to the breath but are not required for ongoing use. Age-appropriate tools and breathing exercises will be utilized.  

 

My Mindful Brain

This program focuses on understanding the connection between mindfulness and how the brain works. Children will learn about the parts of the brain that are involved in regulating emotions and practice strategies that help promote positive self-regulation choices. Having a better understanding of how the brain works can help children identify when they are reacting rather than responding to situations.  Age-appropriate lessons and tools will be utilized.
